Ingredients Makes about 4 cups
1 Liter White tequila
2 Ea. Red grapefruits, cut into thick slices
1 Tsp. Pink sea salt
1 Tbsp. Agave nectar, optional
Directions
Grill grapefruit slices over hot coals until charred. Let cool. Cut peel off, sprinkle with salt, then stack grapefruit slices in a large glass container. Fill with tequila. Add agave nectar if desired. Cover and store in a cool, dark place for at least three days or up to two weeks. Strain mixture through a coffee filter or paper towel into original tequila bottle. Cap and store until needed.
Serve on the rocks with a little agave nectar and a lime wedge or as a base for margaritas.
