Cheese Flavored Bacon
Ingredients Serves 2-3
5-6 Strips Smoked bacon
¼ C. Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Carefully place bacon strips on a preheated panini machine with bacon positioned horizontally across the grill. Be careful not touch grill with fingers when placing bacon on grill. Sprinkle cheese evenly over bacon. Lower top, and grill for 6-7 minutes or until bacon is browned. Do not open too early, or cheese will stick to top instead of bacon. Transfer to paper towels using a fork or tongs, then serve. Unplug machine and let cool. When cool, pour off bacon grease into a container and refrigerate for another use. Wipe out remaining grease with paper towels. When clean, plug grill back in, and repeat cooking process above.
Note: You may substitute swiss, pepper-jack, parmesan, or other semi-firm or firm cheeses for the cheddar.
